The independent charity Crimestoppers helps make communities safer places to live and bring criminals to justice by giving people the chance to provide information about crime anonymously. Â
They are currently looking for volunteers in Leicestershire & Warwickshire.  As part of this exciting role, volunteers will make a difference in the community by working with a successful Crimestopper committee of volunteer members – representing and fulfilling the charity’s work and objectives across the two counties to get people to give us information on criminal activities.  If you volunteer, your role will include supporting other volunteers to deliver effective results in line with your experience, available commitment and overall aspirations.
You will need experience or be willing to attend training to provide cover at events to promote the charity and need to attend a regional volunteer induction day.
To become an associate volunteer member of the local committee the role requires a maximum two year commitment but there are opportunities for associate volunteers to work on shorter projects in the counties, with a smaller time commitment of between 3-12 months. Â Usually each volunteer commits to up to 8 hours volunteering per month. Â The time dedicated to the role will be balanced with the successful individuals other demands. Â Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed through committee raised funds.
